This day was very special for me because I have know Laura Anne and her family for a number of years. Laura Anne, her sister Katie and I used to cheer together back in high school and I have always loved their family. When Laura Anne inquired I was so excited!
I knew their wedding day was going to be beautiful as soon as I arrived to the venue to shoot her bridals. The Boxwood Estate sits on a gorgeous gated property with beautiful trees and a pond. The historic white estate made everything look flawless!
What I loved about Laura Anne and Robert’s family and bridal party was that everyone was relaxed. The day went by so smoothly and I loved how they enjoy each little and big moment. One of the most special moments on their wedding day was Laura Anne’s first look with her dad. She has always been so close with her daddy so when they shared a first look, we were ALL crying.
One thing thing that stood out to me from this wedding was that Robert’s best man was his grandfather. HOW STINKIN CUTE?! Their groomsmen portraits were so much fun because I felt like I was at a comedy show. They were cracking jokes, drinking beer and enjoying the time before the ceremony.
Okay you guys… if you are ever contemplating whether or not you want your dog/s to be a part of the wedding day… DO IT. Laura Anne’s maid of honor walked down the isle with one of their dogs, and Robert walked down the isle with the other. Everyone was laughing and LOVED IT.
Their reception was filled with yummy food, the best band, and lots and lots of dancing. They could have kept the party going until 2am if they wanted to. I am so excited to be sharing this sweet and special day on the blog!
